We bid farewell to Russell J. Jenkins of McFarland, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 26, 2024 at the age of 76. Russell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar R. Jenkins and Elma A. Jenkins (Richter); his brother Gordon; his sister-in-law Beverly Jenkins; his sister Rita Mae; and his siblings-in-law, Kenric Schmitz, Jerry Gust and Judy Jenkins.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ann Benson; his son Craig Jenkins (Kate) of Montfort; his grandchildren, Madison (Chris), Lauren (Ben) and Josie; his daughter Lori Jenkins (Doug Tiedt) of Oregon; his grandchildren, Alex, Anna and Gracie; his siblings, Carlos Jenkins, Marilyn Neuhoff (Roger), Mary Pyle, Fritz Jenkins and Doug Jenkins; his sister-in-law Connie Gust; his brother David; and his sister-in-law Margaret Benson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (5101 Schofield St, Monona, WI 53716). The military honors was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the VFW Post 7591 (301 Cottage Grove Rd, Madison, WI 53716).
