He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Wetzel and Dorothy Wetzel (McCallum). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Tiffany Kvalheim (Marty), Chris Wetzel (Mindy), Kelley Lipscomb (Terry) and Dale Ary; his siblings, Darwin Wetzel (Mary) and Donna Ness (Bryan); his grandchildren, Sean, Logan, Makenzie (Stone), Anastasia (Trevor), Alex (Kailey), Kelsey (CJ), Evan, Sophia and Cora; and his great grandchildren, Beau, Presley and MayLynn. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the McFarland Lutheran Church (5529 Marsh Rd, McFarland, WI 53558). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
