He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Blackdeer and Eva Blackdeer (Little Bear); and his siblings, William Blackdeer, Joanne Klute and Patricia Blackdeer.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Hanson; his children, Daniel Blackdeer (Ann) and Denise Wagner (Joseph); his grandchildren, Emma, Beau Blackdeer, Samual, Elaina and Theodore Wagner; and his siblings, Earl Blackdeer (Bernice), Stanley Blackdeer (Diane), Ruth Peunt, Veronica Espinoza (Dave), Sophie Paremski and Christina Blackdeer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Lake Edge Lutheran Church or a Veteran's organization of your choice.
