It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah D. Peterson of Mazomanie, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sarah D. Peterson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shanks and Sarah Shanks; her husband Darrell; her siblings, Bobby Shanks, Carol Steiner and Barbara Shanks; and her siblings-in-law, Victor Steiner, Sonny Swenson, Nancy Shanks, Donna Schlough and Joyce Richardson.
She is survived by: her sons, Skip Peterson (Kristen), Madison and John Peterson; her brother Samuel Shanks (Alice); and her nieces and nephews, Richard Shanks, Robert Shanks, John Shank, Vic Steiner, Dennis Steiner (Debbie), David Steiner (Lona), Kevin Steiner (Rosalie), Dean Swenson (Michelle), Patty Borgen (Reuben), Linda Bradshaw, Carole Spence (Deaki), Jean Schwartz (Kallen), Bonnie Garner (Rick), Kathy Gruber, Diane Richardson, Debbie Hogan (Greg) and Kim Wisden (Richard).
Because of the Coronavirus protocol we will not be able to have a normal visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, take an extra helping of corn beef and cabbage every St. Patrick's Day, play an extra couple cards at bingo for her, take a chance – try a lone hand in Euchre, even with an ace high, listen to a Daniel O'Donnell song every Sunday and a shot of Irish Whisky never hurts every once and while….
