He is survived by: his former spouse Art Zirtzlaff; his father-in-law Shimmel; his sister Jeanne; his brother-in-law Paul Miller; his wife Joanie; his son Scott (Madeline Melios); his grandchildren, Sarah, Thomas and Lauren; his child Lorrie (Barry); his grandchildren, Megan, Courtney, Jessica, Allison and Kelsey; his son Mark (Melissa); his granddaughter Heather; his son John II (Cynthia); his grandchildren, John III, Nicholette, Anthony and Denette; his sons, James (Kandie) and Joe (Lori); and his grandchildren, Austin, Codi and Shelbi. He is also survived by his 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hooverson Funeral Home (251 Water St, Sauk City, WI 53583). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Cal's name to U.W. Carbone Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
