He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Schaefer and Esther Schaefer (Weber). He is survived by: his children, Todd Schaefer of Mayville and Dawn Kollmansberger (Scott) of Mayville; his wife Carol Metzdorf of Mayville; his son Michael'Mouse' Schaefer (Carolyn) of Mayville; his grandchildren, Ashley Kollmansberger, Rachel Westimayer (Cody), Tonya Kollmansberger (Brandon Schultz), Kristin Schaefer, Aaron Schaefer (Alyse), Adam Schaefer, Courtney Schaefer and Kayla; and his great grandchildren, Aspen, Dakota, Charlotte, Granger, Kennedy, Hadley, Zaylee, Brexton and Ryler.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church (16 S Walnut St, Mayville, WI 53050). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mayville Fire Department.
