He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin K. Drinkwine and Lillian Drinkwine (Koziol); and his brothers, Robert and Richard Drinkwine. He is survived by: his wife Norma E. Pietschman of Mayville; his sons, Dan (Jaqueline) of Slinger, Jim of Mayville and Steve (Carrie) of Delafield; his grandchildren, Devin, Maxwell, Drew, Brayden, Tate, Lillian, Jacob and Grace; his great grandchild Rhea; his sisters, Jackie Hochenauer of Geneva, IL., Ruth Ellen Falstad (Don) of North Carolina and Mary Lynn Greener (Lenny) of Beach Park, IL.; and his sisters-in-law, Pamela Drinkwine of Geneva, IL. and Marilyn Atherton (John) of Hot Springs, AR.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials in memory of Mel may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville.
