He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard and Marie Schabel (Sterr); and his wife Lucille Lehner. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Clark-Brown (Steve Flavin) of Huston, TX, Bruce Schabel (Mary) of Theresa, Cyndy Schwartz (Rick Johnson) of Jackson, Kevin Schabel (Annette Kehrmeyer) of Mayville, Scott Schabel (Sue) of Mayville and Mary Derge (Loren) of Mayville; his siblings, Dick Schabel (Carol) of Mayville and Karen Jeremy (Bill) of California; and his grandchildren, Jenny Clark, Stephanie Heckart, Jonathon Clark, Christopher Schabel, Angie Hargrave, Jeremy Schabel, Jamie Kolatski, Amanda Wondra, Ashley Klinkhammer, Tasha Rechek, Holly Tassone, Heather Lundel, Tarah Wenger, Travis Schabel, Todd Schabel, Carissa Derge, Nathan Derge and Justin Derge. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
