He was predeceased by : his father Melvin 'Mel'. He is survived by : his mother Norma Drinkwine (Pietschman); his children, Max, Braden, Tate (Devin) and Lilly; his granddaughter Rhea; and his brothers, Dan and Steve.

“I'm an old guy and one of Jim's many customers who just wanted to express my sadness on his passing. Also, wanted to acknowledge his kindness and generosity. I recall that he fixed my tire with a nail in it for free. Also, he replaced a couple of worn tires this spring with new and tried to charge me only half of what was quoted. I paid him the amount quoted and asked why he tried to charge only half. His response was "I have my reasons". He was kindhearted and will surely be missed”
