It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene J. Gerlach of Mayville, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Walter Gerlach; his siblings, Grace Naumann (Art), Elma "Toots" Faber, John "Jack" Gerlach (Sally), Glenn Gerlach (Doris), Edwin Gerlach, Raymond Gerlach (Jeanice) and Melvin Gerlach; his parents-in-law, William and Helen Klahn; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Vetter, LuEllen Klahn, Danny Klahn and Tom Klahn.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gerlach; his children, Pam Ihlenfeld (Steve), Jason Gerlach and Jerry Gerlach; his grandchildren, Eve Ihlenfeld, Cole Ihlenfeld and Tony Gerlach; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Gerlach, Margaret Hoepner, Kathy Bingen (Connie), Lois Spencer (Ron), Jenny Klahn, Bill Faber, John Klahn (Marlene), Joe Klahn (Janice), Jim Klahn (Kay) and Jim Vetter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
