He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Straveler and Laura Straveler (Eastling); his wife Janette Lehner; and his siblings, Catherine Weisinger, Rosemary Cooley, Norman, Joe, Ernie and Hubert.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Weiss (Neil) of Iron Ridge, Eugene Straveler Jr. of West Bend, Mark Straveler (Loretta) of Eden, Dean Straveler (Stefanie) of Lomira and Jamie Straveler (Brandon) of LeRoy; his grandchildren, Matt, Melissa, Amy, Tammy, Kimberly, Lindsey and Megan; and his sisters, Nellie Thurk of LeRoy and Josephine Schutt of New York. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
