He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bauer and Sabina Bauer (Huber); and his brothers, Richard, Willard and Dennis Bauer.
He is survived by: his wife Arlien J. Medek of LeRoy; his children, Lisa Ruplinger (Stanley) of Oakfield, Jeffrey Bauer (Elizabeth) of LeRoy, Linda Garriety (Mike) of Lomira and Loni Schmidt (Mike) of Mayville; his grandchildren, Kenda Knaus (Frank), Kelsey Brandenburg (Matt), Kayla Ruplinger, Karmen Ruplinger (Tyler Vander Galien), Sidney, Jesse, Riley, Amelia Bauer, Mitchell, Tyler, Camryn Garriety and Sabrina Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Isaac Knaus and Andrew James Brandenburg; his sisters, Marion Ruddy of Green Bay and Patty Sternat of Lomira; and his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Bauer, Arnold Sternat and Gordon Ruddy.
