He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mester and Hilda Mester (Walton); his brothers, Rob and Roy; and his parents-in-law, Armond and Irene Schaumburg.
He is survived by: his children, Julane Myers, Pam Kretsch (Larry), Randy Mester (Kim) and Kim Kilps (Scott); his grandchildren, Steve, Alex, Brooke, Emily, Miranda, Kayla and Taylor; his wife Jane A. Schaumburg; and his brother Fred Mester. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church in Mayville, St. Agnes Hospice, or the Mayville Veteran's Memorial.
