He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert O'Brien and Jewel O'Brien (Howard); his siblings, Vernon, Robert, Earl and Winnie O'Brien; and his daughters, Geraldine A. O'Brien and Sandra J. O'Brien.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret O'Brien (Marge); his daughters, JoAnn Callis, Kathy Dufer (Fred), Janice Maum (Donald) and Betty (Dan); his cousins, Judith Caisman (Stewart), Michael O'Brien (Pam) and Linda Keller (Steve); his grandchildren, Michelle, Brian, Joshua, Katrina, Cynthia, Francis, Christina, Ronnie, Jenifer, Ben, Zachary, Rachel, Mathew and Noah; and his great grandchildren, Keith, Samantha, Mathew, DeShawn, LaQuan, Marquez, James-Owen, Alex, Martina and Lyla. He is also survived by 4 great-great grandchildren.
