He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Hale and Louise Hale (Kattner) of Mauston, WI.; and his half-brother Jack Downing (John). He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his daughters, Drea Leverenz of West Allis, Brenda Downing (Stacy) of Ontario and Paula Bloor (David) of Ontario; his stepchildren, Nicole Guichard (Chris) of Madison and Ron Guichard of New Orleans; and his grandchildren, Zak Leverenz of Menomonie, Haley and Rylee Hall of Ontario.
Memorials may be given in Russell's name to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or the Mauston United Methodist Church.
