With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John James Smart of Mauston, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 3, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Hugh" Smart and Glennie Smart (Driscoll); his siblings, Tom and Sharon; his grandson Christopher; his nephew Steven; and his children-in-law, Manuel and Birgit.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Robinson; and his children, John Smart (Joan), Patrick, Michael, Timothy, Anthony Smart (Barbara), Joan Mantilla, Connie Walsh (James) and Theresa Tremain (Doug). He is also survived by His 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Mauston or Dis-abled Veterans "DAV" of Mauston.
