He was predeceased by: his parents, John Irving Griffin and Martha Plutowski; and his brothers, Robert and James. He is survived by: his children, John F. Griffin, Eleanor Ortell (Raymond) of Palos Hills, IL and Sharon Dytrch of Orlando, FL.; his siblings, Esther Bingham of Downers Grove, IL, Deloris Hilgendorf (Tom) of Portage, WI and Mike Griffin (Evelyn) of San Diego, CA.; his siblings-in-law, Phillip Winterroth (Lynn) of Fairfield Glade, TN and Jaqueline Winterroth of Carpentersville, IL.; his wife Phyllis; his sisters, Delia, Margaret, Catherine, Mary and Geraldine; and his grandson Jason Carr.
