She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Smart (Darrow) and James Smart; her husband Hugh Schmitt; her siblings, Jimmy, Gene, Bob, Helen, Anita and Eleanor; her great grandchild Christopher Marshall Walters; her close friend Lynn Schmitt; and her cousin Jill Nichols.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Rob and Dylan; and her great grandchild Lexi. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mauston.
