He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Paul and Evelynn Cowan (Pfaff); his wife Barbara Craine; his children, Jaime Pouillie (Adam), Patrick Cowan (Megan), Lisa Vinopal (Brad) and Shannon Cowan; his grandchildren, Makenna, Ellie Pouillie, Ryleigh and Toby Vinopal; his sister Pam Hartje (Randy); his nieces, Courtney and Brittney; his sister-in-law Joyce Carpenter; his nieces and nephews, Crystal, Chuck, Nick, Kelly and Justin; his brother-in-law Richard Craine (Kathy); his nephew Andy; his mother-in-law Shirley Craine; and his sister-in-law Sandra Craine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be donated to organizations at a later time.
