He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mills and Bernice Mills (Babcock); his daughter-in-law Linda Mills; and his siblings, Brenda Jones and Stephen Mills.
He is survived by: his wife Michele Mills of Mattoon; his children, John Troy Mills of Antigo, Matthew Mills of Tucson, Tyler Mills of Sioux Falls, Trinity Hansen of Tucson, Johnathan Chitwood (Nicole) of Green Bay, Amy Hansen of Merida, Yucatan and Amanda Zarda (Corey) of Mattoon; his grandchildren, Tiffany Muthig (Jeremy), Little John Mills, Dakotta Mills (Keely), Kaiden Schlick, Hailey, Tanner, Janay and Jalen Hansen; and his siblings, Jean Hetzel, Ellen Anderson, Rose Hutchinson, Mary Pasholk (Bill) and Fredrick Mills. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
