He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin F. Severt and Eleanor C. Severt (Spatz); his sister Karen; his brother-in-law Lewis Anderson; his brother Melvin A. Severt; his brothers-in-law, John Kundinger and Ralph Fitzgerald; and his niece Eleanor.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Cindy Schneider (Dennis) of Marshfield, Kris Tesmer (Mark) of Marshfield and Janelle Rucker (Ben) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Michaela Wood (Conrad), Dylan Larsen (Aubrey), Derrick, Madilynn, Makenzie Tesmer, Caleb, Nathan and Hailey Rucker; his great grandchildren, Harper Wood and Kaden Larsen; his siblings, LeAnn Fitzgerald, Linda Kundinger (Jim Mann), Fred Severt (Jana), Paul Severt (Tracy) and Pete Severt (Dawn); and his sister-in-law Kay Severt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Hugs and prayers, Bill was a very kind man and a great teacher. He taught my son to cook and the girls to waitress. One day he sent my son to get a carrot, a radish, 2 eggs, and that is what he came back with, one carrot, one radish and 2 eggs. Bill got a big chuckle out of it but he learned he had to be mote specific.”
