He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Borofka and Nelda Borofka (Kuehlman); his wife Joan Eckes; his children, Phillip Borofka (Mary), Charles Borofka (Donna), Julie Christensen (Jim), Jane Borofka and Cathy Schalow (Gordy); his grandchildren, Sarah Johnson (Alex), Katie Schalow, Anne Rickman (Zach), Andrew Christensen and Nathan Borofka; and his sister Carol Buehler (Borofka). He was also cherished by his great grandchildren.
