Violet A. Leonard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet A. Leonard of Marshfield, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rhinehardt Gripentrog and Mildred Gripentrog (Shelley); her husbands, Joseph Rhodes and Henry Leonard; her son Randall Rhodes; her son-in-law Kevin Leitner; her stepson Darwin Leonard; and her siblings, Robert, James, Dale, Beth Breu, Rachel Bigelow, Karen Poiner and Francis Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Rhodes (Betty) of Marshfield, Gerald Rhodes (Pam) of Clintonville, Millie Engel (Ken) of Rice Lake, Kris Leitner of Allendale, Mich and Dale Rhodes (Diane) of Cross Plains; her daughter-in-law Caroline Rhodes of Marshfield; her stepchildren, David Leonard (Dorothy) of Marshfield, Dawn Strack (Jim) of Marshfield, Daniel Leonard of Marshfield, Richard Leonard (Cathy) of St. Louis, Diane Zimmermann (Jim) of Marshfield, Dean Leonard of Tomah, Dixie Adamski (Randy) of Marshfield, Darla Leonard (Gina) of Marshfield and Dennis Leonard (Pam) of Marshfield; her siblings, Lyle (Pam), Gary Gripentrog, La Von Schmoll, Mary Jo Gripentrog and Debra La Porte; and her sisters-in-law, Bea Gripentrog and Bonnie Griepentrog. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 22 step grandchildren, and 33 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory (300 S Oak Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Brooklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
