He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas K. Shafto and Margaret Shafto; his sister Mary Jane Marine; and his daughter Karen Suzanne Shafto. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Throckmorton; his children, Thomas Shafto (Cathy) of Loyal, Susan Haebig (Paul) of Marshfield and Patti Shafto-Carlson of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Karen Bloom (Matt), Mandy Foster (Todd), Nick Lindner (Jenna), Michael Shafto (Lavonda), Elizabeth DeBrosse (Derek), Joshua Shafto (Erin), Curtiss Lindner (Samantha), Jon Shafto (Liza), Ethan Shafto, Courtney Shafto, Breanna Schuld (Zach) and Erik Carlson (Sierra); his nephews, Paul Marine and Ray Marine; and his caregiver Breanna. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
