He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Shaw (Schmidt); his children, Zachary Shaw (Meghan) and Cecily Shaw (Andy); his grandson Mason Thomas; his sisters, Joan Boehning (David), Jean Shaw and Theresa Shaw; his mother-in-law Betty Schmidt; and his niece Denise Lindau (Mike).
