It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvester Mews of Marshfield, Wisconsin, born in Auburndale, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mews and Augusta Mews (Panzloff); and his siblings, Harvey Mews, Ervin Mews, Edward Hamus, Clarence Hamus, Elaine Huebner, Frances Oertel, Minnie Ress, Jean Bushman and Viola Ress.

He is survived by: his children, Terry Mews of Wisconsin Rapids, Debbie Mews of Necedah and Timm Mews (Patty) of Marshfield; and his grandchildren, Zachariah Mews, Erin Mews and Amy Mews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is setting up a fund to purchase a memorial bench to be placed at the Marshfield Super Speedway in his honor.
