He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Olson and Mary Olson (York) of Marshfield; his sister Ellen Kowalczyk; and his grandson Richard Scott Olson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Olson (Lehnherr); his son John (Ann) of Lakeville, Minnesota; his granddaughter Johannah Arndt (Ryan); his great grandchild Helena of Crystal, MN; his grandson J. J. Olson (Kenzie); and his great grandchildren, Freya and Tova of Olympia, Washington..

In lieu of flowers, all memorials should be directed to the Marshfield Lion's Club on his behalf.
