He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Alt and Alma Alt (Newberry); his wife Darlene R. Feirer; his granddaughter Leia; his great grandchild Jackson; and his siblings, Judy Tomaszewski, Delbert Alt, Carol Edwards, Patricia Dorn, Diana Edwards and Lorraine Buntrock.
He is survived by: his children, Darla Langreck (Ray) of Marshfield, Lee Alt (Pam) of Marshfield, Lori Priekschat (Fred) of Spencer and Ann Mancl (Pat) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Corey Langreck (Lori) of Eden Prairie, MN, Christian Langreck (Elaine) of Slinger, WI, Cami Broe (Brandon) of Oregon, WI, Benjamin Alt of Marshfield, WI, Laura Krause of Medford, Joshua Krause of Medford, Dustin Mancl (Jenni) of Custer, WI and Samantha Goss of Greenville, WI; and his sister Peggy Stern of Green Bay, WI.. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
