He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Rupel and Dr. John Rupel; his sister-in-law Joanne Rupel; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Blanche Wix; his close friend John McNamara; and also, Vladdy, Max, Ziva and Abby.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rupel; his children, Briana and Chris Rupel; his stepson Ben Rock; his siblings, Ann Rupel, Bill Rupel, Nancy Kelso (Steve), Maren Trader (Jeff), Karen Heiman (Greg), Tom Rupel (Jeanne) and Jane Rupel; his in-laws, Terri Dums (Tom), Laurie Olsen (Jerry), Gordon Jr. Wix (Mary), Kelly Bohman (Scotti Kunkel), Tracey Hamlin (Gary) and Frank Wix (Will Meister); and his pets, Ellie and Boomer. He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
