He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Schaefer and Margaret Schaefer (Hotmar); his parents-in-law, Donald and Gertrude Foss (Peters); and his siblings-in-law, Donna, David Johnson and Florence Schaefer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee (Foss); his brothers, John (Mary Lynn) of Waterloo, Wisconsin., David of Waterloo, Wisconsin. and Paul (Cyndy) of Waterloo, Wisconsin.; and also, Susan Foss, Carol Schaetzl (David) and Adam.
