She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Schmidt and Selma Schmidt (Knutson); her husband Arthur J. Masanz; and her siblings, Norman Schmidt, Arlett Weiler and Arlene Behnke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Perlock (Joseph), Lois Mayer (Harold), Diane Brandl (Don) and Mary Jo Mews (Jim); and her sister Shirley Folz. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
