He is survived by: his children, Jamie Schlais-Barnes of The Hague, Julie Schlais of Madison and Mary Witt of Kenosha; his former spouse Jean Schlais of The Villages; his grandchildren, Breanna Witt, Ashlynn and Phillip Barnes; and his sister Darlene Schlais. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
