She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Buster" Newman and Marcella Newman (Boehning); her brother Richard Newman; her sister-in-law Connie Newman; her sister Judy Fink; her brother-in-law Orville Syring; and her daughter-in-law Patricia Backaus.
She is survived by: her sons, Dale Backaus (Terri), Daniel Backaus (Patricia) and Derrick Backaus (Theresa); her husband Stanley Backaus; her siblings, Ron Newman (Michelle) of Verona and Peggy Syring of Marshfield; her grandchildren, Stacey Rollins (James), Nicholas Backaus, Keshia Herrington (Cody), Lauren Fagan (Michael), Kimberly Backaus and Olivia Backaus; and her great grandchildren, Isaac, Chloe Rollins, Eliah Fagan and Brooklynn Herrington.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Altar Circle.
