He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Scheel and Evelyn Scheel (Smith); his brother-in-law LeRoy Kessler; and his granddaughter Kristina Schultz. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Dahl of Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church; his daughters, Rachel Beck (Mike) and Lori Schultz (Daryl); his grandchildren, Hanna and Kristian Schultz; and his siblings, Stanley Scheel (Carol) and Erma Kessler.
