She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Gay and Nellie Gay (Huber); her siblings, Elwyn Gay and Marguerite Foote; her brother-in-law Bill Foote; and her nephew-in-law Tom Backhaus.
She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" Johnston; her children, Bill Johnston (Sue), Sally Dean (Keith), Nancy Johnston, Fond and Lac; her grandsons, Jeremy Johnston (Vanessa) and Joshua Johnston (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Jax, Park and Isla; and her sister-in-law Thelma Gay. She is also survived by five nieces, four nephews-in-law, other relatives and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Briggsville United Methodist Church.
