John R. Wassong Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Wassong of Marquette, Wisconsin, born in Weehawken, New Jersey, who passed away on September 2, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Buccino of Buccino and John R. Wassong, Sr. of Alsace-Lorraine; his sisters, Jacqueline Crockford and Marilyn Fitzpatrick; his father-in-law Merrill Schweder; his brothers-in-law, Richard Schweder and Bill Atwater; and his great-nephew Sean Klapper (Gunther "Gunny" Wassong).
He is survived by: his wife Kristine; his children, Stacy Boettcher (Eric) and John J. Wassong (Geraldine "Jeri"); his grandchildren, Taylor, Sofia and Giuliana Wassong; his mother-in-law Dolores Schweder; and his siblings-in-law, Jon Schweder and Debra Atwater. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
