He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert DeLong and Bernice DeLong (Underwood); and his siblings, Thomas DeLong and Margaret Gambill (James). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn DeLong of Markesan, WI; his children, Timothy DeLong (Sonia) of Puerto Adventuras, Mexico, Dennis DeLong (Kathy) of Bloomington, IL and Mindy O'Brien of Bloomington, IL; his grandchildren, Brooke Wagner (Ross), Brent Fontenot, Jr. (Marina), Heather Luhn (Matt), Megan Brown (Ryan), Lynsey Pool and Rhys O'Brien; his brother Daniel DeLong (Maureen) of Markesan, WI; and his sister-in-law Sue DeLong. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
