Gene left this world on March 31, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hilke and Lillian Hilke (Schultz); and his siblings, Eddie Hilke (Dorothy), Auguste "Gustie" Schultz (Russell) and Lawrence.
He is survived by: his sons, Harland "Harley" Hilke (Jane) of Markesan, WI and James "Jim" Hilke (Cindy) of Markesan, WI; and his grandchildren, Steven Hilke (Ariel) and Jessica Stibb (Nick). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; and other in-laws.
A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Green Lake Center Cemetery.
