He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nerstad and Edith Nerstad (Haugstad) of Spring Grove, MN.; his parents-in-law, Walter and Helen Schuttemeier; and his brother John Nerstad.
He is survived by: his wife Marion (Schuttemeier); his children, Janet Wennes (Shawn) and Jeremy (Gwendolyn); his sisters, Loretta Knutson (Lawrence), Diane Nerstad, Linda Nerstad-Kemp (Steve) and Elizabeth Rowley (Neil); his sister-in-law Carol (John); and his grandchildren, Steven, Nathan, Noah and Jamilyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
