He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Bero and Betty Bero; his wife Lana Bero; his children, Matt Bero (Paula), Megan Bero (Adam), Haleigh Nelson and Cole Nelson; his grandchildren, Callie Nelson-Wortner, Mateo Bero, Kylie Knox and Aaliyah Winkler; his siblings, Lynn Doxtator (Vern), Vernon "Bud" Bero, Michael Bero (Barb) and Holly Schaetz (Dave); his siblings-in-law, Tony McDonald (Debbie) and Ann McDonald (Mike); and his close friend Brad Witbro. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, Inc. (610 Marinette Ave, Marinette, WI 54143). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
