She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Stang and William Stang; and her brothers, Mike and Jesse (Thomas). She is survived by: her sister Karen Nelson; her nieces and nephews, Zachary Kelly, Patrick Nelson (Heidi), Tony Nelson (Michelle), Tracy Brown (Michael), Stephanie Vanidestine (Dan), Heather Reckelberg (Jeremy) and Katy Nelson (Aaron); and her brother-in-law Pat. She is also survived by cousins, great nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
Though gone, Susan was a registered donor, and despite her health, she has helped more than 70 people continue their journey in life through tissue donation.
