He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Gamelin and Louis Sr. Gamelin; his wife Patti Boyak; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Mercedes Boyak; his siblings, Red, Tommy, Bob Gamelin and Judy Monhead; and his brothers-in-law, Ernie Monhead, Roger Washam and Bill Whitaker.
He is survived by: his sons, Louis (Andrea) of Grand Ledge, MI and Brian (Laurie) of Porterfield, WI; his grandchildren, Carissa Gamelin of Escanaba, MI, Matthew Gamelin of Allendale, MI, Rachel and Bryce Gamelin of Porterfield, WI.; his sisters, Mary Jo Washam of Mayflower, AR, Bonnie Mannisto and Patty Whitaker of Gray Court, SC.; his parents-in-law, Barbara Gamelin of Florida, Dick Boyak (Marianne) of St. Clair Shores, MI, Tom Boyak (Stella) of Munising, MI, Kathleen Hatke (Jerry) of Munising, MI, Susan Yock (AZ) of Green Valley and Joannie Janikowski (Bill) of Temecula, CA.; and his close friends, Bob and Marge Veriha. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
