He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Polzin and Leona Polzin (Edelburg); his wife Nancy Lee Weidemeier; his daughter Tammy Tuma; his son-in-law Todd Powers; his brother Terry Polzin; his parents-in-law, Angeline Wiedemeier and Victor Wiedemeier; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Wiedemeier (Gloria) and Adeline Dettman (Milton).
He is survived by: his children, Todd Polzin Sr. (Alice) and Tonnie Schmidt (Mike); his grandchildren, Traci Polzin (Jason), Mike Powers (Susan), Jennifer Tickler (Jeff), Bob Walters (Emily), Nikki Dembroski (Jake), Michael III Schmidt (Caleb), Cody Schmidt (Abby) and Tanner Schmidt (Jose); and his great grandchildren, Kaylie, Kolton, Brooklyn, Davey, Mikenzie, Hunter, Jeffrey, Paige, Abrielle, Liam and Zoey.
