It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MacKenzie Marie Smits of Maribel, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her pet Daisy; her grandmother Marlene Kurth; her parents, Jeremy Smits and Annette Smits (Kurth); her brother Austin Smits; her grandparents, Bernard Kurth, Janet Smits (Todd Kibilowski) and Jan Bogren; her great-grandparent Clara Krcma; her aunts and uncles, Daniel (Melissa Kurth), Shari Salas, Todd Kurth, Ashley (Erich Rusch) and Skyler (Chad Nimmer); her cousins, Jesse Kurth, Becca Kane, Cory Kurth, Tilly Bartelt, Crystal Salas, Pedro Salas, Luis Salas, Owen Kurth, Robert Rusch, Emerson Nimmer and Emiliana Salas; her friend Alex; and her caregivers, Brianna and Selina.
