He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hanke and Alma Hanke (Zastrow); his wife Judith Hanke (Zunker); his brother Marvin Hanke; and his siblings-in-law, Karmen Hanke, Wayne Lang, Earl Wondrash, Carlton Luedtke and Lawrence Gerhart.
He is survived by: his son Randy Hanke; his grandsons, Jace and Trey Hanke; his daughter Renee Braun (Daniel); his grandchildren, Kennedy and Avery; his siblings, Verna Gerhart, Orville Hanke (Darlene) and Janice Lang; and his siblings-in-law, Russell Zunker (Donna), Carol Wondrash and Cheryl Zunker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers the family will be accepting memorials in his name.
