He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhart Stahel and Viola Stahel (Langhoff); his spouse Clair Ann Weiland; his granddaughter Cassandra Galassi; and his siblings, Esther, Lois, Verna, Merlin, Norman, Lydia, Selma and Leona.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Galassi (Larry), Maria Hornick, Leon Stahel (Julie Volhard) and Daniel Stahel; and his grandchildren, Matthew Stennet, Katie Galassi, Amanada Galassi, Thomas Galassi (Christy), Zachary Galassi (Viridiana), Derrick Stahel (Jenna) and Logan Stahel. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
