He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Artus and Leila Artus; his son John Matthew Artus; his father-in-law Joseph Rauen; and his brother-in-law Robert Schmidlkofer.
He is survived by: his spouse Diane Artus (Rauen); his children, James Rauen (Wendy) of Marathon, Ashley Hammerstrom (Jay) of Marathon, Chelsey Artus of Marathon and Lesley Artus of Marathon; his grandchildren, Angelica Rauen of Marathon, Joseph Rauen of Marathon, Brexton King of Marathon, Ty Hammerstrom of Marathon, Aly Hammerstrom of Marathon, Jordin Aschbrenner (Morgan) of Marathon and Jaye Zastrow of Marathon; his great grandchild Levi Aschbrenner; his siblings, Janis Artus, Jayne Seeger (James), Jerry Artus (Sally), Judy DeBroux (Randy) and Jeff Artus (Cindy); his mother-in-law Barbara Rauen; his siblings-in-law, Donna Kaiser (Mike), Duane Rauen (Barb) and Doreen Johnson (Mark); and his nieces and nephews, Jodi DeBroux (Ryan), Justin Seeger (Traci), Cody Raymond, Jeff, Jordan and Emily Artus.
