He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nowack and Irene Nowack (Laidlaw); his daughter Brenda Sue; his niece Bonnie Karlen; his parents-in-law, Alexius and Lorraine Karlen; his siblings-in-law, Lynn Karlen, Norbert Myszka and Tom Schoenfuss; his brothers, Jerald Nowack and Roy Nowack; his grandson-in-law Jared West; his granddaughter Ashley Moore; and his nephew Todd Hieronimus.
He is survived by: his spouse Marjean "Jean" Karlen (Cassel); his children, Deborah Mallek (Matthew), Russell Nowack (Gail), Rodney Nowack (Prudy), Lisa Nowack, Rosemount, Minn, Greg Nowack (Kellie) and Merrill; his grandchildren, Daniel Mallek (Amanda), Nathan Mallek (Traci), Mikayla Schultz (Andy), McKenzie Mallek, Ethyn, Hailey, Anna Nowack, Josh Cebula (Kristin), Laura West-Kralcik (Josh), Scott Lang (Courtney), Phillip Lang (Michelle) and Jon Lang; his great grandchildren, Emory, Ira, Roman, Theo Mallek, Crew Schultz, Devin, Jaxten Moore, Emma, Ella Cebula, Lauren West, Samantha, Kristian, MacKenzie and Tyler Lang; his great great grandchild Addison; his siblings, Richard Nowack (Bernell), Mark Nowack (Karen), Jane Myszka and Nancy Schoenfuss (Steven Drexler); and his siblings-in-law, Myron Karlen (MaryAnn), Ronald Karlen, Michael Karlen (Roxanne), Lynette Hieronimus (Don), Patricia Karlen and Beverly Karlen (Michael Sommer).
