He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Nygaard and Loretta Nygaard (Buerskin); his sister Mary Magdalene; and his niece Cayla Nygaard. He is survived by: his wife Carol Nygaard (Luostari); his children, Christa Schauer (Mark) of North Branch, MN, Sandra Perrin (Robert) of Glenwood, MN and Todd Nygaard (Stephanie) of Forest Lake, MN; his stepson Josh Burnes of Sartell, MN; and his siblings, Maynard Nygaard (Susan) of Shoreview, MN, Michael Nygaard of Starbuck, MN, Raymond Nygaard (Ann) of Glenwood, MN and Lynette Lien (Norman) of Glenwood, MN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Log Cabin Tavern (2821 County Rd E, South Range, WI 54874).
