Holmes of Houston, TX; his siblings, Leonard of Iron River, MI, Robert A. of Los Angeles, CA, Elaine Huston (William) of Minneapolis, MN, Carol Holmes Gargano of Holland, MI, Gwendolyn, Lorraine and Ralph Holmes; his cousin Marian Bergquist Visintainer (Joe) of Milwaukee, WI; his siblings-in-law, Edwin 'Bud Zeman and Elizabeth Brunfeldt (Norm); and his nephew Jeffrey Diffin.
He is survived by: his pets, Ebba, LuLu and Stambaugh; his children, John C. Holmes of Manitowoc, Cindy Carlson (Paul) of Plymouth, MN and Susan Flessing (Roger) of Springfield, MO; his daughter-in-law Peggy Holmes (Mahlik) of Deephaven, MN; his grandchildren, Emily, William, Betsy Holmes (Mike), Ben, Annie, Thomas Carlson (Cindy), Sydney, Samantha Holmes (Bob), Kevin (Heather), Jeremy (Vanessa) and Jordan Flessing; his great grandchildren, Lia and Jimmy Flessing (Susan); and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Zeman of Harvard, IL, Marjorie Holmes of Idaho Falls, ID, William Gargano of Holland, MI, John Sternaman (Janet) and Black. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
